Changes in Attitude, Changes in Lattitude...

Woohoo, I'm excited. My husband and I are joining two other couples for a few days in Key West, Florida. I've never been there before.

It's been very gray and rainy here for the last couple of weeks and a few days of sunshine and goofing around sounds very refreshing. I'm looking for some fun inspiration too.

If any of you know about Key West or the area around it, would you mind telling us of places to go or things to do? I'd appreciate it. We leave this weekend.

Reportedly we're staying in one of Jimmy Buffet's previous homes. I'll let you know if the margaritas and cheeseburgers in paradise make me want to sing.

  1. YeaHHHHH! Sounds like a really fun, really tropical time. Ive been there (about 10 years ago), my sister and I rented a little scooter for the day and that was a blast. The island is so small that we zipped around everywhere and all the back streets were so easy to cut through with the scooter. That was the really pretty part for me, seeing all the 'real' neighborhoods and landscape. HAVE FUN! and DONT think of glass the whole time!

  4. Hi Marcy,
Make sure you take the boat ride to the Dry Tortugas (make reservations). The margaritas flow at Sloppy Joe's. Make sure you bring your camera.

Dan and I spent 4 days in the Keys after we left your house. What a great place. We are looking forward to going there again.

    Margaritaville all the way....

  9. Oooh, you're gonna have a great time.
The Ft.Jefferson/Dry Tortuga day trip is pretty cool. But they mean it when they say it's dry!
And definitely hit sunset at the Pier. And don't miss a stop at the Hogsbreath Saloon. Oh, and Hemingway House to see the 5-toed cats. And take your picture at the Southernmost Point marker. You can see Cuba from there....

Oh, never mind. Just go to the beach and have a Margarita and relax!
