Bead Soup Party Goodie Bag

I'm participating again in the Bead Soup Party.  Anyone else out there doing it too?  It's always a lot of fun, but this time around, I'm a bit more perplexed.

You see, my partner and new friend,  Melissa Clarke (Liss),  sent me this wonderful selection of beads.  My photo isn't fantastic, but you can see the agate slice focal, lots of little sparkly beads in shades of pink and some black lava beads that are textural and very cool.  Oh, as she is a seed beader, lots of those too in a lovely coordinating selection.

I've never worked with bright pink and black together.  So this decision making is taking a little too long.  I wake up and mess around with combinations,  I go to sleep wondering what the heck I'm going  to do, and the deadline to post on my blog- is Sept. 17th.  Coming up soon!

So be sure to visit me on the 17th, (and of course you are welcome every other day in between), to see what I end up with.  I've been making some coordinating flamework beads, which I think will help me make decisions.

See you tomorrow.  www.studiomarcy.blogspot.com

  1. At first glance and before coffee it looks like sushi and bead roe. Up close though, looks like a great mix with the blacks and pinks - I personally love the way they look together, and I know you'll be having lots of fun with that colorful soup!

  2. Lisa, what a good idea. I'll glue some of the seed beads on top to make a fine sushi..;) Seriously, it keeps me awake trying to figure out what to do. I have a feeling this grand combination might make up a couple of pieces if not more.
